How Much?
The program costs $200 per year for one child. Here’s how the costs break down:

League Fee
The $125 fee that we collect is charged by and sent directly to the Air Cadet League of Ontario.
The League is sanctioned by the Air Cadet League of Canada to administer and support the Air Cadet Program across Ontario, in partnership with the network of Regional Cadet Support Units, established by the Department of National Defence.
The mandatory OPC Cadet Lottery was retired in the 2021-2022 training year. The lottery is now optional – more details here.
Registration Fee
The $75 registration fee helps towards the annual squadron expenses – often reaching $90,000 per year.
Other Expenses
Parents should expect other expenses during the training year, such as equipment needed for field training exercises (FTXs) or the black and whites (described below). None of these are charged by the squadron.
New Recruits
New cadet registrations are accepted throughout the training year so long as the youth is 12 or older at the time of registration.

Fees:

Dress Code: Black & Whites
- Black tie,
- White, long-sleeve, button-up shirt (tucked into the pants),
- Black slacks,
- Black dress shoes.
- Hair will be neat and tidy, with long hair tied up in a bun.
Returning Cadets
Welcome back! You are all leaders now! Make sure to say hi to the new recruits and help them feel welcome.
Fees:

- DUs with medals, if any.
- FTUs if you do not have DUs.
